By the 5th season Bitsie was engaged to David. Personally I think they kept her around because she was there anyway. I mean I get they turned her into a weapon but then she pretty quickly becomes just a regular hexinbeist. I have made it clear that I am not a fan of Juliette continuing after she died. The writers spent quite an awful lot of time on Adalind when it was probably not necessary. It is weirdly ironic that Adalind, a villain was the only other character besides Nick's whose plot we followed pretty much from day one and they mirrored one another to an extent. By the time she burnt the trailer, I lost whatever sympathy I had for her as a character and wanted her to remain dead. They did a lot of telling and not a lot of showing. Note, I didn't say they didn't love one another, just that I didn't buy it, at least it wasn't all that deep, hence the lying and turning down the proposal and the nonsense that is S2 and the first half of S4, never mind the second half of S4. I have seen a million relationship that kind go through what these two did in S1 (minus all the grimm fantasy plots) and I have rooted for them but never these two. Nick was lying to her, she didn't seem to want to commit to Nick (which is reasonable). For me, it wasn't that but more like I never saw romantic chemistry between them so when she turned him down that just cemented it. I see most people citing her turning down his marriage proposal as a reason to dislike/hate her.
However, I did hate her relationship with Nick right from the start. I didn't hate her, I just didn't like her as a character. And I still hate her mopey faced character. She's going to be the emotional drama that makes the Grim consider not Grimming." She's the type to get everyone in more trouble because she insists on helping when she's clueless. The second she was introduced I said "This is the type of idiot who is going to run out of the house, into the dark, leaving the door open, to save her man when she can't even throw a punch. From the way she an Nick interacted, to her solo scenes. When they killed her off I had 5 seconds of happy until I announced "They're gunna bring this idiot back." Eventually he calls me in one day like "You're going to love this!" annnnnd I get to watch her fall apart all Hexenbiest style. My partner loved the show, so he'd watch when I was busy, etc. (The actress is beautiful, it was just the way the character was portrayed.)
The moment she was introduced I loudly proclaimed "I hate this mopey face bitch" and got so annoyed every time she was on screen that I had to stop watching. I despised Juliet from the first episode.
